The middle ground for medium projects
A midi skip is often the right choice when a small skip looks tight but a builders skip would be excessive. Kitchen refits, several-room clear-outs, larger garden jobs and moderate refurbishment waste can all sit comfortably in this category.
Choosing the right size at the start usually makes the project simpler. You avoid overfilling a small container, reduce the chance of needing a second collection and keep the working area tidier while trades are on site.
Useful for homeowners, landlords and trades
Midi skips work well for rental property refreshes, planned maintenance, flooring and decorating projects, kitchen removals and mixed non-hazardous waste. Builders and fitters also use them where site space is limited but a mini skip would fill too quickly.
Planning the delivery
Think about where the skip can sit without blocking doors, garages, neighbours or essential access. If it must be placed on a public highway, a permit may be needed. Tell us the postcode and intended position when requesting a quote so we can explain the next steps.
Frequently asked questions
When should I choose a midi rather than a mini skip?
Choose a midi when the waste is likely to exceed a small household clear-out but you do not need the capacity of a builders skip.
Can a midi skip take renovation waste?
Yes, many common non-hazardous renovation materials can be accepted. Heavy or specialist materials should be declared before booking.
Do I need a permit?
Not when the skip is fully on suitable private land. A permit may be required if any part of it sits on a public road.
Can you collect early if I finish sooner?
Contact the team once the skip is ready. Collection timing depends on routing and availability, but an earlier pickup can often be arranged.
